The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum Receives Grant from the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund to support Free Admission STEM day.

MONROE, LA [10/17/2024] – The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum has received a $5,000 grant from the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund to support its Free Admission STEM day on Sunday October 27 at 1-5 pm. Fly Me To The Moon will involve engineering and designing paper rockets. Chief Curiosity Curator Sarah Sehon said “the funds would be used to give families an opportunity for a STEM focused fun afternoon making family memories.”

“We are looking forward to partnering with Weyerhaeuser to highlight STEM and family involvement in our community” said Sehon.

In both rural and urban settings, the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund supports hundreds of important organizations and programs in the communities where they operate with funding, time, expertise and resources.
